
A retired Clinical Psychologist with more than 40 years supporting people with intellectual disabilities, Ivan completed his Master of Theology at Queen’s University Belfast on the history of intellectual disability and the Christian Church, with a particular focus on the eugenics movements of the last century. Combining his academic and professional experience, within Tiō, Ivan teaches on the management of behavioural difficulties, the implications of legislation on people with intellectual disabilities, biblical perspectives on disability and the history of intellectual disability in the Church. He has published in peer-reviewed journals on disability and the Bible.
He is married to Barbara and they have two children and two grandchildren.
